Rushed Judgment
Wisdom doesn’t grow on trees. Nor does it seem to run in the Rush family. I suppose I should reserve judgment until the deed is done, but here’s hoping that he has better luck than JaRon:
* Have the Phog Blog come to you! * Subscribe to CommentsBrandon Rush, a 6-foot-6 athletic swingman at Mount Zion Academy (N.C.), will declare for the NBA Draft.
Rush’s mother, Glenda, confirmed the decision with CBS SportsLine.com and said her son will make an announcement before Saturday’s deadline.
He is the younger brother of Charlotte Bobcats guard Kareem Rush and former NBA player JaRon Rush. Brandon is from Kansas City and spent this past season at Mount Zion.
Rush has not committed to a college and has until June 21 to withdraw from the NBA Draft — as long as he doesn’t sign with an agent.

Not to diss this site, but I thought it was a Jayhawk site, not a MU site. The last few postings have all involved MU not KU. Whats up with that? I still like the site.

Adam,
There’s really only one post that deals with MU that doesn’t really involve KU at all, and that’s the Quin Snyder post. DeAndre Thomas was set to visit KU, mentioned KU in his post-commitment talk and likely would have been a Jayhawk had we reserved an offer for him.
This particular post dealt with Kansas City’s own Rush brothers, and was of interest to me (and probably some KU folk and some MU folk) as a result, since older brother JaRon was once recruited by KU and older brother Kareem went to MU. Some speculated that Brandon Rush might be interested in KU, given that he lived just 45 minutes away from campus.
Indeed, I didn’t even mention Mizzou in the post itself (unless, of course, you refer to my shamless promotion of the celebrating mediocrity category).
Sometimes KU and MU basketball intersect. It is a rivalry after all. Plus, it’s the off-season and there hasn’t been a whole lot of noise.
Thanks for the feedback, though, I’ll try to keep to the subject at hand a little more clearly.
