    11 conference titles the last 16 years
    6 final fours the last 20 years

    Great time to be a fan. Now there are 2 more streaks to keep up- winning the first round game of the Big 12 tourney, and getting to 23 wins.

    Enjoy it I will. Whatever happens in the post-season, it has been quite a thrill to watch this team this year. They won their share of ugly games, but they certainly won more than I could have ever expected. Even the bad taste left in my mouth from that unfelicitous trip to Austin is now gone. Great job by Bill Self and his kids. Now let’s go make some noise in the tournament(s).

    I’ll be rooting for Iowa State against Oklahoma State… if only so that KU doesn’t have to face OSU’s defense. But really, ISU is probably my second favorite Big 12 team.

    Great season by this team, but no signature victory away from Allen (compare UNC at Duke!). I hope they go all out in the Big 12 tournament and that they meet the toughest competition, since this will give them more game experience and a chance for a slightly better seed in the Big Dance.
    Concerning the seed, the Saturday game is the last one the Selection Committee will take into account, and they would be more impressed by a victory over OK than over A&M.
    All in all, the second seed lets KU do itself more good than a first seed would have.
