Great Season, Unfortunate ending
We shoot 14/35 on chippies. I guess it has to happen and I give credit to UCLA’s defense, but it is too bad to go down like that.

Not the ending I wanted, but UCLA is a tough team in any venue.
Congratulations to the Hawks on an amazing season. Big 12 Regular Season Title, Big 12 Tournament Champions, and a trip to the Elite Eight. Rock Chalk Jayhawk!

Yes, it’s too bad they seemed to choke in a game that looked very winnable. But there’s always next year to look forward to.

I am done. I can remember the Championship in 1988 barely. I have been a loyal fan ever since. I sat behind the goals in 1995 when Kansas came back on UCLA after being 20 down and beat them by 20. I endured all the tough losses and many wins over the years, but I am officially no longer a fan. Everyone says Kansas fans are spoiled and I agree at times we are. It was fun, but the heck with it. Bill Self can caulk his head to side and act however he wants to on this, but that was a mess. I was impressed not to many games ago with how we shot so well and made smart decisions. Now we are the dribble penetrate team? Forgot one thing and that is Keith Langford is gone. Forcing shots and pushing our rebounders out of the games if they were even in it. Passing like a 10 year old girls team if that. Jumping around like a bunch of dildos and one handing the ball. Was there a three point line out there? Can’t remember what that is. I would be just as happy to go on a ten year losing streak and win a championship in 15 than to watch this train wreck again and again. Whats the point of getting the best players in the nation. Hell I can dribble off my elbows and miss shots. My last question is who told Collins he is 6.5? Runt!!! See you later phogdicks. They should all go pro so no one has to watch them any more.

in an attempt to find a silver lining, here are some encouraging stats to take into the offseason:
1) russell robinson averaged 11 points on 50 percent shooting and shot 7-13 from three-point range. his scoring could be key next year.
2) darnell jackson scored 24 points and grabbed 22 rebounds in only 62 minutes. that’s 15.5 points and 14 rebounds per 40 minutes.
3) we had 47 steals over four games. that’s almost 12 steals a game.
4) we shot 52.4 percent from the field, including 54 percent from three-point range.
5) we held our opponents to 41.6 percent shooting.
6) we averaged 20 assists on 29 field goals.
essentially, KU had one bad game — which is all you need in the tournament to send you packing. congratulations, kansas, on a great year.

It was a very sad ending to the season. Unfortunately, we ran into two teams back to back who played a great defensive game and ate time off of the clock. Hopefully our guys will work on their free throws and (GASP) layups during the off season, and be fully prepared for next year.
