It’s a Good Thing There’s a Bye Week Before the Trip to Manhattan
Otherwise, the team might not be adequately prepared to visit the “toughest place to play in America.” (HT: EDSBS and petejayhawk)
Mangino better not let the players be on the field when the video plays. Were they to witness this new tradition, they’d need another bye week to stop giggling. Which could harm their efforts restore Kansas State’s oldest football tradition: losing.

I have 2 words for the “creative” minds that came up with that: focus group
But, damn, Willie can shred on the guitar, can’t he? Even with his wrists and fingers taped up.

Ah what a video. For what its worth against admittedly less than stellar competition KU has put up some impressive team stats in the first two weeks. The Jayhawks are 3rd in the country in scoring, 5th in passing efficiency, fourth in scoring defense, and tied for first in scoring margin. Kansas is hardly the only team playing weak competition these first two weeks so seeing them put up these gaudy numbers is encouraging. I’m not saying I expect this level of efficiency throughout the big 12 schedule but I think you can definitely get excited about this team.
