Predictions for KU’s Future Football Games
Thought you might be interested in TeamRankings.com’s take on KU’s future opponents. KU is currently #2 in their rankings, behind only Boston College. You’d think that was a fluke, except they’re 2-8 in pretty much every power ranking right now. The one odd variable here is that the KU-MU game is listed as a home game, when clearly it isn’t. Home advantage is typically around 3-4 points, so subtract that from that margin. Not sure I’m buying +9 at OSU, but the other numbers don’t look to far off.
FUTURE GAMES
Date Site Win Probability Margin Opponent
Week 10 Home 94.1% +24.0 #65 Nebraska
Week 11 Away 73.9% +8.7 #33 Oklahoma State
Week 12 Home 98.8% +33.5 #104 Iowa State
Week 13 Home 70.6% +7.1 #10 Missouri

I get a 48.5% chance of going undefeated per those numbers which may be fairly accurate if one assumes/hopes that Missouri loses at least one of @Colorado and @K-State knocking their ranking down and correcting some of the home field advantage Kansas is erroneously credited with for the final game of the year.
Oh, and good to have the Phog Blog back.

It won’t happen again. When tech things break while I move to Florida and try to sell a house, my time gets pulled. But even with a baby on the way (that’s right, phog baby number 1 in the house), I’ll do better about updating every day.

I think the mizzou game is a coin toss and the road Ok state game much more like 55-45. And if those were the vegas spreads on the nebraska and iowa st. games I’d take the visitors plus the points in a heartbeat. Kansas is a good team not getting enough national attention this year but their offense has definitely come back to earth in big 12 play. If the ‘hawks d stays consistent I think they could win all 4 but 3-1 or 2-2 is more likely unless they start converting in the red zone the way they were in the non-con. The cowboys and tigers will be tough wins.
